Follow these simple steps to Sprout a Corncob and Produce an Endless Supply of Corn! You’ll be tempted to cultivate them in your own garden after this!
Get Fresh Corn
Fresh corns are the first step in the procedure. To ensure that your seeds have the best chance of germination, avoid buying old or dried ones.
Put them in a place with air to dry
Allow them to dry for 7-10 days on a tray or shallow bowl in a well-ventilated area such as a balcony. Make certain that they aren’t exposed to direct sunlight.
Add a bit of water
Keep the corns in a shallow basin filled with 1/4 water after they have dried. They should be evenly moistened. Make sure the maize doesn’t go to seed.
Watch for Signs of Growth
If you keep the corns moist, they will begin to grow about 13-15 days after you first water them. At this time, do not expose them to direct sunlight.
Germination
Corn will begin to sprout after 15-16 days and turn green. To keep them healthy, you’ll need to give them at least 100-150 ml of water each day.
All Set to Grow
Now, all you have to do is plant them in a pot or garden so that the green shoots are above the soil. In addition, you can split some individual corn plants with shoots and sow them in separate plots.
