If you’ve ever looked inside a toaster to pry out a hunk of burned bread, you know that the toasting process involves a bundle of wires heated to high temperatures. Power strips can easily get too hot due to the current draw of such wires. Toaster ovens, electric skillets, and waffle irons are all susceptible to the same problem.
