BAKING SODA AND WATER
Cleansers with a bit more abrasiveness may be required for difficult jobs. Baking soda’s grit is effective for removing grease particles that have stuck to the surface of the cabinets. Because it is a moderate alkali, it can also be used to make grease dissolve in water.
- Make a paste with a 50/50 mixture of water and baking soda.
- Using a clean microfiber cloth, apply the paste to grease stains in small, circular motions.
- Swap out soiled cloths as needed until you have a grease-free surface.
- Once you’ve finished applying the powdered paste to all of the cabinet fronts, wipe it off with a damp towel and finish by wiping it down with a dry cloth to get rid of any remaining moisture.
Be wary about leaving any dampness behind. The finish of your cabinets could be damaged if you do this.
