Is Aloe Vera Safe for Pets?
Incredibly, the aloe vera plant has several uses for people. The gel is applied to the skin, and the juice is consumed, for its healing and digestive benefits. In spite of its benefits for people, this is a horrible idea for your dogs. Toxic latex, or aloe juice, can be found beneath the plant’s skin. If your pet accidentally consumes it, you’ll find that it produces nausea, vomiting, and abdominal discomfort.
It’s best to avoid bringing this plant into your home if at all possible, but if you really must have it, make sure to keep it away from any pets you might have.
