Sump Pumps
In the event of a flood, a sump pump is often the last line of defense for keeping a basement dry. The majority of power strips are not made to be utilized in wet environments, making them inappropriate for use with a sump pump. Instead, connect a sump pump to a GFCI outlet, preferably one situated some height above the floor in case of flooding.
