Air Compressors
Home improvement enthusiasts who aren’t afraid of a little hard work will find that portable air compressors are a great help around the house, but they require a lot of power to get going. To get the most out of your air tools, don’t overload a power strip but instead use a heavy-duty, fully rated extension cord.
Another Power Strip: Power strips should not be used in conjunction with each other.
In fact, hooking multiple power strips together, popularly known as “daisy-chaining,” is the quickest method to overload your electrical system—it’s also dangerous and violates most fire safety rules. Additionally, power strips should not be used with extension cords. If you run out of plugs, try unplugging one item before plugging in another—or cut the cord and find power-free alternatives to your household equipment.
